The Vincent Price Art Museum (VPAM) Learning Lab is an onsite study, research, and educational environment available to all currently enrolled Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) students to support their studies and curiosity for learning as well as their overall museum experience. The space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology as well as a specialized collection of art and art history books to support coursework study in the visual arts, art history, and museum studies.
WHO CAN USE THE SPACE
The Learning Lab is free and open to all LACCD students, faculty, and staff. To access the space, students present their LACCD student ID upon check-in at the VPAM front desk, located near the 1st floor main entrance.
THE BOOK COLLECTION
The non-circulating collection of over 500 books includes a selection of art history textbooks, artist biographies, exhibition catalogs, and art books, including a limited edition letterpress art book set. Students may search and browse the VPAM Learning Lab and Online Catalogue at https://www.libib.com/u/vpamlearninglab.
TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT
The following shared technology equipment is available: iMac desktop computer workstation, large touchscreen monitor for presentations, flatbed scanner, and printer. All equipment is available on a first come, first serve basis to currently enrolled students and can be reserved with a VPAM staff member.
