VPAM strives for excellence in accessibility and guest engagement. We actively seek ways to improve the museum’s physical and virtual environs and communications to serve a broad spectrum of audience needs with the aim to provide a safe and engaging environment for all.

Arriving at VPAM

Street Entry Street-facing entries to the museum are located on Collegian Avenue. This entry includes an accessible ramp. 

Accessible Parking Accessible parking spaces are located in ELAC’s Parking Structure 4 on Level 1. 

Drop-Offs Visitors may be dropped off and picked up at the curb outside the entrance on Collegian Avenue where there is an accessible ramp to the front door of the museum. 

GETTING AROUND THE MUSEUM

Wheelchairs All public areas of the museum are wheelchair accessible. The museum does not provide wheelchairs for visitor use.

Service Dogs Service dogs are allowed. However, pets or emotional support animals are unfortunately not allowed in the museum.

Elevators Access to all floors of the museum can be reached by elevator. 

Seating and resting areas Benches are accessible on all floors of the museum.

ASL Services For campus events, employees, students or community members must request ASL services at least three days before the event to allow time to arrange services. Requests for ASL services are made through our Associate Vice President and ADA Coordinator Nghi Nghiem who can be contacted at (323) 265-8689 or nghiemnx@laccd.edu.
